winemaker's notes:

Bright ruby color with violet hues on the rim. Blackberry and briar patch come forward in the initial aromas and evolve into high-toned cherry and bergamot orange. Flavors of dried black cherries and savory herbs complement the bright acidity and supple tannins which frame a lingering and silky finish.

alcohol by volume: 13.6%
critical acclaim:

"This is consistently on of the most restrained and delicate pinots you'll find in California. A blend from far-coast sites, in 2009 this is 30 percent from Flower's Sea View Ranch, plus fruit from the DZ and Peterson vineyards and other western Sonoma sites in the Sebastopol and Occidental areas. It's long on strawberry- and cranberry-scented fruit, layered withe the complexity that far-coast pinot can attain, a complexity that seems to be tied to the acidic, ridge-top soils where conifer forests once thrived. The structure leaves room for food, like grilled fennel sausage.

A lovely example of California coast pinot noir. Very rich but not too fruity. Get your company to order for business dinners!

Great wine for the price! Tastes more like a $60 bottle of wine.
