Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Aromas of ripe blackberry, dark cherry fruit, milk chocolate and clove. The concentrated, focused mid-palate boasts flavors of blueberry, plum, molasses and wild sage. Present tannins mark this wine's mountain heritage adding firm structure and layers on the palate that mingle with flavors of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. This wine delivers tremendous density with ripe lush texture, a hallmark of the heralded '07 vintage.
Blend: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petite Verdot, 10% Merlot
"Deep, bright ruby. Smoky red- and blackcurrant aromas are complicated by cured tobacco, licorice and dried rose. Sappy dark fruit flavors are given lift and spine by a smoky mineral quality and show an interesting Indian spice quality on the back half. A touch of vanilla adds sweetness to the long, juicy, focused finish. This is pretty seductive now but I'd resist opening mine for at least another five years."

Founded in 1973 by Fred and Juelle Fisher, the winery is nestled at the 1500-foot elevation on the western face of the Mayacamas Mountains between the Napa and Sonoma Valleys and home to their Wedding Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Whitney's Vineyard Chardonnay. Their Coach Insignia Cabernet, Lamb Vineyard Cabernet and RCF Vineyard Merlot come from their estate on the Silverado Trail in the Napa Valley. It is from these two sites that the winery strives to fulfill their mission of producing world class Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...Read More About Cabernet Sauvignon
