Fife Spring Mountain Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1997

Intense, wild aromas of ripe mountain blackberry, cedar, bay and minty herbs, mingle with a wisp of smoky oak; scents you might encounter as you hiked in the woods atop Spring Mountain. On the palate it is rich, generous and at this stage, so dark and dense it is a bit imposing. Yet, it is also very supple, the tannins so fine-grained that one might be tempted to drink it before its peak. This wine achieves a fine balance between grace and power.
