Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Felipe Rutini Cabernet Sauvignon has fruity aromas with hints of vanilla and chocolate that develop into spice and coffee flavors. It is fruity with well-balanced tannins, and hints of cocoa and sweet oak on the smooth finish.

Critical Acclaim

"This cabernet sauvignon was made by famed enologist Mariano Di Paola from vineyards in Tupungato. Ripened to a seductive complexity, this melds spicy scents of clove and cinnamon with flavors of strawberry jam. It's a chubby wine with enough acidity to balance the fat and lend it polish."
