Winemaker's Notes

Fresh and expressive, offering ripe blackberry, rose petal and sandalwood aromas. The flavors are vibrant yet focused, layered with dark plum, blueberry, semi-sweet chocolate and clove, wrapped with silky texture and a lengthy finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Showing the most sweet fruit and oak of the lineup, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Feather is made by Randy Dunn of Dunn Vineyards in Napa Valley. A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spends 22 months in 100% French oak, it is loaded with sweet black raspberry jam, creme de cassis, charred toast and crushed flower-like nuances that flow to a full-bodied, voluptuously textured Cabernet that builds in tannin and depth with air. Gorgeously pure and seamless, it needs 3-4 years in the cellar and will evolve gracefully for 12-15 years. Drink now-2025."
94 Points

"This is Long Shadows’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, offering a sharp-edged wine with a brilliant mix of berry, cherry and black fruits, sparked by juicy acids. There’s spice and chocolate highlights as well, with a purity and focus that suggests cellaring to add more complexity over the course of a decade or longer."
94 Points

"Firm tannins surround the dark berry and currant flavors, casting a black pepper spell on the lingering finish. The tannins need time to soften. Best after 2015."
