Winemaker's Notes

Color: Deep vibrant red.

Aroma: Combination of white pepper, vanilla and mixed spices.

Palate: Medium to full bodied. Well integrated with ripe fruit and a complex finish.

Cellaring: Will drink well now until 2008.

"Has nice focus, with blackberry and dark cherry fruit woven with mineral and vanilla notes. The fine, supple finish fleshes out nicely, with a lovely mouthfeel."

I liked the wine and I would buy it again. I don't have the technical wine vocabulary to tell you about the wine, but I liked it.

I was unaware that this was a screw top but it was nice with humus and crackers - I will get it again.

The home base of Syrah is the Northern Rhone, where it creates the exclusive wines of Hermitage and Cote Rotie. On the less pricy side, the Rhone makes Syrah-based wines in Crozes...
