Winemaker's Notes:

Don't miss this superb vintage. Mother Nature kindly gave Eyrie beautiful wines in 2005; unfortunately she wasn't very generous with the quantity!

"Bright red color. Strikingly fragrant nose offers a complex bouquet of fresh red berries, Asian spices, pungent herbs and rose. Juicy strawberry and raspberry flavors are silky in texture, with mounting sweetness and fine-grained tannins adding gentle grip. An extremely elegant, fresh and vibrant wine, with excellent finishing lift, clarity and persistence. This refused to let go of my palate, which was fine by me. These are the oldest pinot vines in Oregon."

My Notes:

About Eyrie:

The Eyrie Vineyards (eye-ree) was established by David and Diana Lett in 1966. Yamhill County's pioneer vineyard produced the Willamette Valley's first Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and the first Pinot Gris in America. The vineyards are located in the Dundee Hills, the winery in nearby McMinnville.
