This Rosé is a dry Rosé of Pinot Noir sourced
exclusively from Etude's Estate vineyard. They farm Rosé grapes to the same exacting standards employed
in their meticulously farmed plots for red wines. They grow and ultimately pick focusing on intensity
of flavor, strong varietal delineation and ideal natural balance. The wine is minimally processed –
whole berry pressed then drained to previously used barrels to ferment to dryness. After
approximately 4 months of aging, the wine has excellent clarity and is ready for bottling, with
a slight addition of red wine to fine tune the color.
Light salmon in color, this wine is vibrant and juicy with watermelon,
strawberry, and rose petal aromatics. Broad flavors of mixed berries including pomegranate lead to a mouth
watering finish. The perfectly balanced acidity makes this wine a wonderful complement to many foods
and warm weather dining.
The underlying philosophy at Etude Wines is that winemaking begins in the vineyard, long before the grapes are harvested. Winemaker, Jon Priest, believes that superior grape growing diminishes the need for intervention by the winemaker and results in a wine that is grown, not made. Etude specializes in two classic red varieties: Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Though modeled on the best from Burgundy to Bordeaux, these wines speak clearly of their contemporary California origins, combining rich, ripe fruit with an elegant and opulent mouth feel.

The winds from the San Pablo bay create a cool weather pattern ideal for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
