Deep purplish-red in colour, with an aromatic
expression that reflects the varietal balance,
offering aromas of nutmeg and red pepper
and notes of violets and sweet spices. The
palate is intense, with smooth, friendly
tannins and pleasing, well-balanced acidity
that leads to a pleasingly refreshing finish.
Excellent wine! I am not really familiar with a Carmenere but this could become a favorite of mine. It was bold, rich, earthy, a little bit of a bite, a hint of raspberry and chocolate. (I find that most wines that come from Chile are excellent anyway!)
