Winemaker's Notes

An opaque, intense red color. The nose displays spices and balsamic notes with marked aromas of violets. Sweet and persistent tannins greet the mouth. The bottling can be cellared another 5 years.

Critical Acclaim

"Ripe and fresh, with a delicious core of juicy raspberry and boysenberry fruit woven with licorice and spice notes. The rounded finish has nicely integrated toast. Rock-solid. Drink now. 950 cases made."

This wine is really what I'd like all Malbecs to be. It's got a great vanilla, oak, and leather nose with just a hint of blackberry. The finish is just a note of a spice and oak on a dried tobacco leaf. I cannot describe the subtle but excellent nuances of this wine, it's just outstanding and a great example of what I think Malbec is and should always be.
