Winemaker's Notes

Blend: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot

A classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, this elegantly balanced wine combines generous fruit-forward structure with age-worthy tannins and a long, satisfying finish.

From its layered aromatics to its lush palate of flavors, this wine brings together an array of red and black fruit elements, including red currant, baked plum, blackberry and sweet black cherry. Adding further depth to this core of ripe fruit are notes of vanilla, molasses, allspice, fresh herbs and black olive.

"Dense purple hue. Complex scents of black cherry, cassis and sweet tobacco. Big, rich flavors of raspberry, Bing cherry and cocoa with secondary nuances of tea and mocha. Creamy acidity and velvety tannins in the black cherry-driven close."

The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...

Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
