Winemaker's Notes

Dark ruby red color. Profoundly complex nose of bright red berries, wild flowers and darker black cherry with an edge of dried herb and spice. The palate blends cassis, black raspberries and underbrush notes with great succulence and mid-palate definition. The back end is expansive yet lively with broad ripe tannin and a fresh violet/mineral finish.

Critical Acclaim

"The brilliant 2004 Pinot Noir Finn reveals sweet black cherry, forest floor, and subtle mint and smoke aromas, a meaty richness, and broad, savory, full-bodied flavors. This stunning red should drink well for a decade."
94 Points

"Good medium red. Strong oak tones currently overshadow cherry and strawberry on the nose. Then supple and suave but initially rather subdued and lacking in real personality; seemed dried by oak and rather tannic. But this pinot exploded with aeration, gaining in richness and sweetness of fruit and showing impressive persistence."
92 Points

"Perfumed floral, raspberry and blackberry flavors are supple and polished, caressing the palate and finishing with a smooth burst of fruit."
