Wine Style Guide

Light & Crisp

Light to medium bodied wines that are high in acid and light to medium fruit. Typically no oak.

Fruity & Smooth

Light to medium bodied wines with lots of juicy fruit, typically medium acid and medium oak.

Rich & Creamy

Full bodied wines that have typically undergone malo-lactic fermentation and/or spent time in oak.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale yellow color. Fruity (white plum, peach) and fresh nose, with smoked flavors. Round and soft, well balanced, with a nice freshness. Fresh fruits aromas. A nice dry Pinot Blanc with enjoyable fruit. Easy-drinking crisp wine.

It can be served whenever a dry white wine is the best choice. It is possible to pair this wine with an entire meal. It can be consumed at any time of the day and is a loyal thirst-quenching friend. Pinot blanc goes perfectly well with appetizers, asparagus, onion tart, quiche, rabbit, and sweets, served after the cheese and before the fruit.

A beautifully light and crisp white wine - when I went something refreshing and simple. (Siciliano's recommendation)

But true Pinot Blanc lacks most Chardonnay characteristics. The grape is most at home in Alsace, where it is used both in blends as well as a sole varietal. It's also found in Italy...
