Pale golden, full of light, with green hints. A good first nose, quite closed, which opens after aeration to reveal mineral notes, almost chalky, complimented by floral and menthol fragrances. It’s like a sunny garden. The attack is clean, the mouth voluptuous, yet elegant, with aromas of bitter almond, held together by good acidity which brings its crispness to the fore. With a length worthy of a 1er cru, it has a savory finish.
The ideal companion for poached Turbot.
"The freshness of this wine is almost explosive, crackling with floral scents, beeswax and the funky corn notes of huitlacoche. It's fresh cream underneath, smoothing all that tension and suggesting that you decant a bottle for roast grouper."

"The 2009 Vougeot Le Clos du Prieuré is another of the more delicate, restrained 91 wines in this lineup. Sweet, silky tannins and floral notes round out the finish."

"Toast, pastry and peach flavors predominate, with hints of lemon and mineral. This is vibrant and lightweight, showing intensity and persistence. Leesy aftertaste. Drink now through 2015. 407 cases made."
