The splendid Chateau de Serrigny, home of Prince Florent de Merode, with its secluded gardens and surrounding moat, has an enchanted, medieval appearance. The Merode domaine is an unusually old continuous holding. Their Corton and Ladoix properties have been in the Merode family since the year 1700. The chateau’s cuverie dates back to the fifteenth century, but has been modernized within the past decade. We have been buying wines from Prince de Merode since he started estate-bottling with the 1959 vintage.
