Winemaker's Notes:
"The late-released 2006 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Cairanne Haut-Coustias is a blend of 60% Mourvedre, 20% Syrah, and 20% Grenache. Its dark ruby/purple hue is followed by aromas of crushed rocks, red and black fruits, licorice, and garrigue. Deep, long, rich, and full-bodied, it is just as concentrated and fruity as the 2007s. Drink this superb 2006 now and over the next 7-8 years.
This outstanding estate has been making fine wines for nearly as long as I have been writing The Wine Advocate."
