Winemaker's Notes:

The 2004 Laurène is vibrantly seductive with aromas of fresh cherry & red berry, and a floral mix of cherry blossoms and rose petals. These sensations follow through on the palate, with added clove and spice character. Firm, layered tannins coat the mouth, but the real stars are the rich, velvety touch and well rounded, perrsistent finish.

As the Laurène opens up, hints of blue fruit, cola & fresh undergrowth emerge. Similar to 2001 and '93 in finesse and sophistication, the '04 Laurène is full of life and promised much in the years to come. Enjoy now, and anytime over the next 8-12 years.

About Domaine Drouhin Oregon:

Domaine Drouhin is home to 90 acres of hillside vineyards in the heart of Oregon's Red Hills, producing stunning Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that are noted internationally for their pure expression of fruit, superior balance, silky texture, and classical elegance.

Winemaker Véronique Drouhin-Boss' roots go deep - deep into her family's 13th century cellars under the streets of Beaune, the heart of Burgundy. She represents the fourth generation of winemakers from this venerable wine family of France, but it is here in Oregon that Véronique's skills and passion are bringing forth some of the most sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced anywhere.

With centuries of Burgundian winemaking experience flowing through her blood, not to mention her advanced enology degree from the University of Dijon, Véronique has lovingly crafted every drop of wine produced at Domaine Drouhin Oregon since the first vintage in 1988. She seeks always to capture the essence of what nature has provided in their unique estate vineyards each year, rather than trying to dictate a particular style.
