Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Lively in color with purplish refections. Nose of red fruits. Generous and candied in mouth, with well balanced acidity. Beautiful, fat and spicy at the finish.

This TRADITION 2007 is a pure "essence" of Châteauneuf, and will pair beautifully with the aromatic dishes of Provence.

Critical Acclaim

"A racy style, with lots of floral, red licorice and red currant fruit laced with hints of spice cake and fruitcake. Very juicy and driven through the finish, which picks up hints of black tea and raspberry. Drink now through 2023. 600 cases imported."

Most wines from the Southern Rhone use Grenache as their...
