Les Caillerets, sourced from vines planted in 1969, is perhaps the most complete wine amongst the 1er Crus. Due to its distinguished position on the slope above Morgeot and Champs Gains, Les Caillerets manages to bring both power and finesse to the palate.
"Ineffable high-pitched aromas of quinine, white pepper, mint and cinnamon. Dense, juicy and energetic but very tightly coiled today. Offers superb energy and definition to its pineapple and crushed stone flavors. Finishes very dry and long, with a tactile impression of dry extract and piquant lemon and mineral nuances. In a very elegant style."

"A highly expressive nose speaks largely of citrus and floral aromas that lead to classy, pure and cool medium-bodied mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are refined, focused, intense and impressively persistent on the moderately austere finish. This is really a lovely effort brimming with minerality though it will need a few years of cellar time first as there is a certain amount of restraint present."
