A golden hue with brilliant edges. Very fine bead. Fine and expressive aromas on the nose, which shows fully ripe stone fruit alongside dried fruit. Quite full-bodied on the palate, with flavors of pears and sun-ripened apricots. Richly expressive and pleasantly soft.
"The 2002 Brut is a polished, elegant wine with an expansive core of ripe apricots, minerals and smoke that emerge from its medium-bodied frame. Here, too, there is a gorgeous combination of clarity and richness in the fruit. The 2002 Brut is 60% Pinot Noir, with 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier. This is a terrific effort from Deutz. This is LA106000467, disgorged February, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2012."

"A firm, vibrant style, whose tightly wound lemon, graphite and apple flavors are stingy now. Turns lean and austere on the finish, then returns with a vanilla accent. Be patient with this. Best from 2010 through 2027. 90 cases imported."
