Winemaker's Notes:
For the 2000 vintage we selected our best lots from the David Bruce Estate and Branciforte Creek vineyards, finding a synergy in this blend between lush ripe cherry flavors and more austere spice and earthiness. Fifteen months in Burgundian cooped French oak barrels with deep, long firing added subtle toast and smoke notes, as well as structure and length to the palate. While pleasant in its youth this wine should also reward proper aging for up to a decade.
