Very deep color gives a hint at the concentrated rich sweet cherry-like fruit in the nose. Big rich and mouthfilling, the flavors remind one of black cherry and currants. A wine with a good balance of oak, fruit and acidity in big yet elegant style. This Cabernet blend rounds out with 9% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot. It is a typical example of the types of flavors and quality of wine that can be expected from Dalla Valle year after year. A wine that will be around for quite a long time.
"The 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon (88% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Merlot) is an opaque, deeply saturated, purple-colored wine with a super sweet, pure nose of black-cherries, cassis, minerals, and vanilla. The wine possesses exceptional richness, full body, ripe tannin, and a blockbuster finish."
The Wine Advocate

The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...Read More About Napa Valley
