Winemaker's Notes:
The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits impressive ripeness and density, the result of a long, moderate growing season and very low yields in the vineyard. At its core is a mouthwatering serving of juicy plum, crème de cassis, vanilla bean and fresh raspberries. Aromatically, this broad array of fruit and warm spice notes define the wine, but there is a mineral, smoky complexity underneath that should continue to emerge over the next several years in the bottle. There are ripe, lush tannins, great oak integration, and enough structure to help the wine age for decades to come. |
