Cupcake Vineyards Chardonnay 2009
Chardonnay from Central Coast, California
Cupcake Chardonnay was crafted to emphasize the Central Coast's creamy and structured Chardonnay character. It starts off with a touch of apple, a hint of tropical fruits and is complimented by a balance of vanilla and spice. We used malolactic fermentation with aging in small barrels to provide a rich mid palate that develops into a long, smooth, satisfying finish.
At Cupcake Vineyards, our goal is to craft the richest, smoothest and most elegantly textured wines. To ensure this, we select our grapes from vineyards that are truly expressive of the varietals that we grow. Our Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot come from California’s sun-drenched Central Coast, where the distinctive topography and climate moderated by the Pacific Ocean yields some of California's best world-class wines. Our Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Marlborough valley of New Zealand, where the long days and cool climate allow the grapes to mature slowly over a longer period of time. View all Cupcake Vineyards WinesIt's not rare to see a wine's country of origin listed as "California." A country into itself in the wine world, California makes enough varieties and styles to match many European wine countries. It produces a diverse range of wines that span the quality spectrum.

Great wine for the money. Smooth and tastes like a much more expensive wine. Great for a group without breaking the bank.Red w/Attitude - Miami, FL17/1/2011Jessica Allen - Denver, CO56/12/201142/24/2011
- Fruity & Smooth
This was a good, rich chard for the price. Acidity was low to medium and finish was somewhat long.24/19/2011This was OK. It tasted young - a bit rough around the edges. The Cupcake red wines seem to be a bit more well rounded.412/30/2010Good wine for the money.
