This garnet colored Pinot Noir has deep aromas of currants, plums and a slight briary spiciness along with tobacco and leather. It is bursting with ripe fruit flavors with hints of spice and oak. This very complex, many layered wine seems to change with every taste; sometimes there are tarry undertones while other times it is a mix of exotic woods and fruits. The finish is very long and just slightly tannic. This wine is very interesting to drink right now but a year or two of further bottle age should tone down some of its youthful edges and integrate its many facets.
