The Count Karolyi Gruner Veltliner 2010 is dry white wine is light gold in color, with aromas of green apples and gooseberries. On the palate, it is balanced by delicate fruitiness. A fresh, zingy wine that shows crisp acidity, making it a perfect food wine.
Served lightly chilled, this Gruner Veltliner is perfect on its own as an aperitif and also a wonderful accompaniment to shellfish and other seafood, veal, pork and other "white meat" dishes.
Tolna is in the south-west of Hungary in the southern transdanubian plains. This relatively new wine growing region (1998) is made up of the two regions of Szekszárd and Völgység.
Grüner Veltliner is one of the most important white wine varieties in this region which encompasses 2.200 hectares of vineyards. The summers are generally dry with long sunshine hours and the winters mild.
