Wine Style Guide
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Alcohol By Volume: 14.5%
Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Sandalwood, hazelnut, and powdered cocoa spicy aromas waft around a core of plum and dark stone fruit. Lively black plum and blueberry flavors transition seamlessly to a walnut, toasted almond finish. This elegantly balanced will continue to bring pleasure for years to come.
"This is a blend of the various vineyards Conn Creek has access to. It is a splendid testimony to the winemaker's ability to take disparate lots and make them harmonious. Just a beautiful Cabernet, dry and softly luscious, with complex blackberry, black currant, anise and cedar flavors. A wonderful experience now, and it should develop in the bottle for several years.
Liked it so much I have reordered twice
Big & Bold
The Conn Creek '07 Cab delivers what many under $20 Cabs from California lack. It has purity of fruit, with notes of cedar, spice and a touch of herbs. Balanced, complex and well-integrated, this wine tastes as a good Cab should. I was super impressed when we tasted this to feature on the site. $20? Yes, please! We decanted it with dinner, paired it with a steak and enjoyed it immensely.
This is a fine Cabernet that, like many, needs some time to develop. Plenty of fruit and acidity, but will improve on balance over time.
Big & Bold
excellent full bodied red with a great finish
Earthy & Spicy
This is a very good wine. Decanted about 45 min. Nice start and finish. Nose is ok but still looking for that wine in this price range with the perfect nose. Would buy again.
Smooth & Supple
Wonderfully complex for the price.
This is an excellent Cab at a very reasonable price point. Buy it up as you can!
Good but not great...like at the 27 Palms in NY.
A good Cabernet for the price.
Earthy & Spicy
What a major disappointment with very acidic tannins that overpower the Cab flavor. Tried to share with friends and they felt the same. Went by the reviews and wonder what Wine they were drinking because it couldn't have been this one. Very sorry that I bought 4 bottles.

Learn About Napa Valley

The area was settled by a few choice wine families in the 1960's who bet that the wines of the area would grow and flourish. They were right. The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...
