Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Blend: 90% Merlot, 10% Carmenere

The color of the wine is a deep red with great intensity. On the nose, the wine shows delicious hints of plums and herbs. This Merlot reveals hints of chocolate and spice, while integrating perfectly with the toasted American oak. The wine is smooth with great structure.

Excellent with a variety of cheeses, meat and pasta dishes.

Critical Acclaim

"Ripe and fresh, this red delivers a tasty core of mocha, raspberry and boysenberry flavors that push through the fleshy finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 350,000 cases made."
