The color of the wine is deep, dark purple. The wine is rich with dark plum, black currant, and chocolate aromas. On the palate, there are notes of dark plums and spice, generously framed by toasty American oak with a soft and well-structured mouth filling texture.
This wine is just simply always good. Pairs well with just about anything ! Smooth.
I jumped on this producer a little later than some, discovering it just last year. This is only my second vintage of this wine and I find that for just under $14 a bottle, I will most definitely be buying a case, insuring at least a few bottles will have the time to age a bit. This is ready to rock right now. Big rich plum, complimented by a dark chocolate mouth-feel on the long finish. More than pleasant...88 pts. And for this price? 5 stars!
This was a rare find. The color is indicative of the antioxidants that are present in the wine. It is bold, spicey, with a hint of pepper and dark chocolate. it is 13.5% alcohol, but the alcohol is hardly even noticable. a bargain at under $10
