Winemaker's Notes:
Concannon Vineyard produces both a Stampmaker's White and Stampmaker's Red, in honor of the late James Concannon. James made his fortune selling rubber stamps in the early 1880's, in a territory that stretched from British Columbia to Mexico. This was just before he became our first Irish American vintner.
The Stampmaker's Red, Limited Release, Central Coast has primary aromas of ripe dark berries, cherries, spice, and tobacco, with notes of violets and menthol on the palate, while the full, rich tannin structure supports the wonderfully complex fruit character. It has a long, lingering finish with berry fruit, floral notes, and a subtle, toasty oak quality.
Enjoy with spicy chicken, spiced rubbed pork chops, or your favorite pasta with red sauce.
