Columbia Crest Two Vines Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley, Washington
Wine Style Guide
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Alcohol By Volume: 13.5%
Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Strawberry, cherry and cola aromas and flavors harmoniously flow into the silky and soft palate that culminates into a long velvety finish.
Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Syrah, 2% Merlot
"With spicy cola scents over black-plum fruitiness, this sleek red has a dusty, savory set of flavors and a rich, chocolatey finish."
Wine & Spirits
Bought a case and I'm glad I did. An incredibly easy drinking wine that I could enjoy every night of the week. I'd better grab another case...
Smooth & Supple
A very good tasting wine. I would rate it a 92 and the price was terrific.
Smooth & Supple
It was so good that I'm tempted to give it a bad rating so that they don't sell out. Just ordered 15 bottles just in case. :) Was just very smooth, very fruity (but not sweet), and low acidity (which is important to my wife). Comes together to make a wine that we believe can compete with a $20 or $30 bottle.
Smooth & Supple
This is a great wine at a great price! I love the full body flavor while still being light on the pallet - easy to drink. You could have this with pizza or with the finest steak in the land!
Light & Fruity
for the price this is a very good selection and a pleasant surprise, regardless of price it is still a good selection, it is not as big and bold as some cabs but more on the fruity side.
A very nice everyday Cabernet for a reasonable price. The blending of the two vines produces a wine better than either could be on it's own.
Great find - delicious berry and black fruit with a fine finish - super buy at $9 - buy a bunch, great everyday wine!
Good light Cab easily used as a table red with CLASS!
Excellent wine. Very smooth finish. Would definitely buy again!
I was sceptical, however, this is actually an extremely good wine for the money. It is solid, smooth, and not overly-fruity, making it a great wine to sit down at lunch or dinner with. LIKE!
