Light & Fruity

Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Smooth & Supple

Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Big & Bold

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.

Alcohol By Volume: 14.5%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This intense, fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon delivers aromas of dark chocolate-covered cherries, black tea and a hint of cedar, leading to a silky texture accented by flavors of cassis and exotic spices. This wine is structured but delicate with a perfect balance of earthy tannins and a lingering finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Lithe, focused and refined, this is on the savory side, with distinctive earthy, smoked meat overtones to the berry and red pepper flavors. Drink now through 2014."

a decent every day bottle, the flavors of the berrys seem to come through nicely with a hint of spice, more on the smooth and supple end of cabs then the bold end

Nice deep color and reasonably rich texture. Fruity with a bit of spice on the relatively long finish that is decently smoooth. A good value for the price and serves well as an everyday table wine.
