Winemaker's Notes:

Number 8 on the Wine.com 100 of 2007!

Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2007!

Blend: 96% Merlot, 3.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 0.5% Cabernet Franc

This complex artisan wine is produced using various barrel types and varietals to offer classic Merlot spice, ripe cherry fruit, and cocoa aromatics which persist on the palate. The balance of wood and black fruits creates a velvety, seductive finish.

"Bursting with blueberry and currant fruit, this zips across the palate with a racy texture and refined tannins. Lingers enticingly with a hint of mocha on the clearheaded finish. Drink now through 2009."

About Columbia Crest:

Columbia Crest is one of the most impressive wineries in the Northwest. Fashioned after a country French chateau, the winery sits amidst 2,000 acres of estate vineyards just 20 minutes south of Prosser. Picnickers enjoy the winery's landscaped grounds, acres of lawn, scenic pond and courtyard with tables. Inside, the elegant lobby, large gift shop and tasting room top the list of visitor amenities. The winery is best known for Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon-Chardonnay which are consistently recognized for their quality by leading wine publications.
