Winemaker's Notes:

"Bigger, with more obvious oak than the CC "regular," this gets special treatment (hand-stirred for nine months once a week) and 25% new oak. It's nicely integrated, big and buttery, with pleasing layers of caramelized sugar and baked apple. A home run." -Wine Enthusiast Best Buy Apple, pear and caramel are evident in the nose and on the palate. It is supple and mouth-filling with a long, lingering finish. Aged 11 months for added complexity and a rich, silky mouth feel. This is an approachable wine brimming with flavor.

About Columbia Crest:

Columbia Crest is one of the most impressive wineries in the Northwest. Fashioned after a country French chateau, the winery sits amidst 2,000 acres of estate vineyards just 20 minutes south of Prosser. Picnickers enjoy the winery's landscaped grounds, acres of lawn, scenic pond and courtyard with tables. Inside, the elegant lobby, large gift shop and tasting room top the list of visitor amenities. The winery is best known for Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon-Chardonnay which are consistently recognized for their quality by leading wine publications.
