Winemaker Notes
Intense ruby red color, with deep bluish and black tones. Fruity nose, with prevalence of mature
plums and prunes, spicy notes, with certain
nutmeg and clove aroma. Its tertiary aromas
are noted, determining its elegance. Unctuous, dense, full bodied, revealing
spices as nutmeg, clove, with delicate
cinnamon notes at midpalate. Dehydrated
fruits reappear, such as plums and figs; it has
strong and mature tannins, and a sweet and
complex finish.

The 2006 Don Juan Nahuel Malbec Reserva spent 24 months in French and American, all of which has been nicely integrated into the wine. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it exhibits a captivating nose of sandalwood, exotic spices, floral aromas, brier, and assorted black fruits. Dense, rich, and plush on the palate, it deftly conceals enough structure to evolve for another 3-4 years. Drink this classy effort from 2014 to 2021.

With wine as another of his passions, Gustavo started Cielo y Tierra in 2005 when he purchased a vineyard in Lunlunta (Lujá de Cuyo, Mendoza). The Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines are from 14-40 years of age on this 10 hectare vineyard.
