Wine Style Guide

Light & Fruity

Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Smooth & Supple

Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Big & Bold

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine is blended and cask aged for approximately one year, depending on the vintage, in casks of eight years' use to enhance structure and integrate the cuvées. The quality of the wine is marked by the expertise and passionate devotion to perfection evident in the great Moueix châteaux.

Deep ruby in color, it is a round, full-bodied wine of superb balance with a fine, aromatic bouquet and soft, restrained tannins.

"Light garnet hue. Complex scents of black cherry, plum and sandalwood. Creamy flavors of black cherry, cassis and plum. Velvety tannins and hints of smoke in the cherry-soaked close." 88 Points
