Winemaker's Notes:
The 2007 vintage brought us extraordinary fruit in the Stags Leap District. A dry spring and a warm year in comparison to the previous two vintages greatly reduced the berry size on our property. The result was a harvest which produced wines of great concentration and depth, power and elegance. The 2007 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon is a great representative of the breadth of the fruit. It has power and finesse with striking body and generous aromas.
The wine displays a deep ruby red color, with an aroma of cassis, blackberries and plums along with vanilla, mocha and clove.
There is unquestionable richness in the palate. Full burst of beautiful fruit followed by mid palate unctuousness. the finsih is long and very, very silky. |
