Winemaker Notes
Pale with slight golden color. Fruity and crisp with aromas of citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit, lime, and peach. Soft and refreshing in the mouth with delicious flavor of fresh citrus fruits and a nice finish.
Today, under the 4th generation owner, Patrice Haverland, the chateau has grown and considerable investments have been made to modernize the winemaking and ageing facilities. This is an up and coming Chateau that still provides great value from a region renowned for its outstanding, mineral white wines.
A curious fact of this estate:
In 1958, a vine root was discovered in the vineyard in the form of Jesus Christ. This image was affixed to a cross and blessed by the Bishop of Rhodesia during the 1959 Easter celebrations. This "Jesus of the Vines" is one of the curiosities of the estate.
