Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot 1999
Merlot
from Columbia Valley, Washington
winemaker's notes:
A better Merlot for the price would be hard to find. Elegant and complex, with aromas of red plum, loganberry and red currant. Silky tannins balance the lively plum and berry flavors on the palate. The wine finishes with lingering toast in the background. The blend is 84% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc.

I'm not much for describing wines with all those fancy adjectives. All I can say is this wine has a great taste from beginning to end. I'm usually surprised when I discover the bottle has reached the bottom. It's that smooth. Enjoy! You won't find one much better for the price.

I must say for such and inexpensive wine, it has to be one of the best Merlots I have ever had. Very full bodied and strong, yet delicate and flavorful. A great buy. Any Merlot, or even red wine, lovers must give this a try!! Fantastique!!!!

This is a very distinctive wine
with hints of robust cherries and
barrel oak hints. Reminiscent of the early st.francis 96 grand reserve with suttle polish. Drinkable now, highly recommended
