Winemaker's Notes

Blend: 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

"This is our refined and elegant Merlot with plenty of Washington concentration. The 2004 bottling exhibits complex aromas of black cherries, leather, dried herbs with dusty, restrained tannins. This wine showcases that perfect Horse Heaven appellation balanced style. The bottom line is that Canoe Ridge Estate really does Merlot right! Try this one with chicken parmigiana or a pork tenderloin."
- Bob Bertheau, Head Winemaker
