Winemaker's Notes

Light and aromatic, Olivier are the result of the perfect balance between sauvignon, which gives it its fruity and nervousness, the Semillon which makes a wonderful wine for aging, rich and elegant, and delicate fragrance of Muscadelle.

Critical Acclaim

"Tropical fruit aromas, with lemon, apple and hints of toasty coconut. Full-bodied, with lots of fruit, honey and banana flavors. Layered and rich, with a long finish. Needs time. The best white in a long time from this estate. Best after 2009. 2,500 cases made. "

Learn About Bordeaux White Blends

Bordeaux White Blend
There's white wine in Bordeaux, too! Typically made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and bits of Muscadelle, white Bordeaux can be a fully dry table wine or, as in Sauternes, a deliciously sweet dessert wine. In other areas of the world, a Bordeaux blend consists primarily of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, either of which may be the predominant variety. Bordeaux blends can vary in style, but most have good acidity and often a mineral overtone.
