Chateau Marojallia 2006
Bordeaux Red Blends from Margaux, Bordeaux, France
ratings pedigree (past vintages):
winemaker's notes:
From its first tastings, the wine proved extraordinarily successful thanks to its elegance and delicious softness. Very rich, fruity, with vanilla, blackcurrant and liquorice flavors. An intense purple robe combined with roundness. Very long on the palate. The delicate quality of the appellation is balanced by an impressive level of concentration and power.
critical acclaim:
"This is a quintessentially elegant Margaux, with a dense ruby/purple color and notes of charcoal, cassis, a hint of smoking embers, and a subtle touch of spring flower garden. Dense on the palate with medium to full-bodied flavors, superb concentration, and moderate tannin, this wine requires patience, but is impeccably well-made as usual. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2024."

The Wine Advocate
"Ruby-red. Aromas of licorice, violet and minerals, with a peppery nuance. Tightly wound but fine-grained, with a cool restraint to the flavors of black fruits, violet and licorice. This spreads out nicely on the back end, with the serious chocolatey tannins reaching the front teeth. Good minerality contributes to the impression of structure. The property features 50% cabernet and 50% merlot by acreage, but this 2006 blend is 75% cabernet. Range: 89-91"
