The winemaking process includes a long vatting period in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. 18 months in new, French oak barrels.

The wine is extremely pure and elegant, with sensational texture (a characteristic of so many ‘05 Margaux), a boatload of ripe tannin, and a 45-second finish. While there is tremendous power, depth, and fruit, it does not come across as too heavy or overbearing. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2027. "
