Winemaker's Notes

This estate has been well-known for several centuries and is located 18 miles north of the city of Bordeaux. A luscious and fruity Bordeaux wine made by Dominique Hebrard of the Cheval Blanc family.

60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc

Nice, dark ruby color. Reveals beautiful aromas of cherry and blackberry with a hint of vanilla. Medium-bodied, it has dark berry flavours, well-balanced tannins and a long, smooth finish.

An excellent recommendation given from I tried a bottle and enjoyed it enough to purchase a case one week later. A ruby red color and an aroma that gives off a hint of vanilla. Medium body with a great finish. Taste a glass and enjoy.

Perhaps French wine is an aquired taste, all I know is that my husband and I greatly anticipated trying this wine, only to wonder whether to choke it down or pour it down the sink. We detected no vanilla, and there was a serious after taste reminded me of cough medicine, sip after sip! I hope it was just a bad bottle, and not the norm.
