Chateau Croizet Bages 2005
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
winemaker's notes:
Brilliant deep red color with purple hues. Nose is developed with blackcurrant, toasted bread, vanilla, cherry. Supple, mellow wine, with sturdy and very ripe tannins.
A warming wine with very ripe touches. Very elegant tannic structure, with a fresh finish. A great expression of Pauillac, thanks to the rich tannic structure and an exceptional mellowness. Seems at this stage of the evolution the best ever made, even better than vintage 2000, which remains the reference vintage.
Blend 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5%Cabernet Franc
