Winemaker's Notes:

"Rich and brilliantly balanced at the same time, this wine is further proof that California wines no longer deserve to be tagged as too heavy just because they have depth and weight on their side. Aromas of sweet melons, honey, dried straw and fresh kiwi are followed on the palate by a somewhat rounded, oily-textured wine whose bright flavors and lively acids combine with steely, minerally undertones and an enriching layer of sweet, slightly toasty oak. A lengthy, tasty finish tilts towards the rich end of the spectrum."
