Winemaker's Notes:

Winemaker Margo Van Staaveren blended in Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, Merlot and Syrah to the Cabernet Sauvignon (84%) giving an extra punch of intensity with black currant and cassis flavors along with the classic chewy tannins this variety typically possesses. The components were aged separately for 12 months in a mix of French, American and Hungarian oak. Once the lots were selected, the blend was assembled and then bottled.

Notes of blackberry, black currant and dried herbs jump from the glass of this captivating Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate the wine is rich and juicy with black fruits, round tannins and a touch of smoky oak. Bright berry flavors persist throughout the long finish.
