Winemaker's Notes:

Our Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is a richly textured wine built on flavors of ripe plums, berry jam and dark chocolate. The palate is layered with supple tannins permeated with cedar, coffee and chocolate. The satin feel of the wine extends through the palate to a chewy finish echoing the nuance of ripe plum and spices.

Food Pairings: Pair this wine with the most elegant fare – Beef Wellington, Roast Pork Loin, Steak Diane, as well as rich aged cheeses, or decadent desserts such as chocolate-dipped cherries or strawberries.

About Charles Krug:

The Charles Krug Winery was established in 1861 as the first winery in the Napa Valley by Prussian-born visionary and revolutionary Charles Krug. Today the winery focuses on handcrafted Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varieties grown within with Napa Valley appellations and sub-appellations. The winery remains under the stewardship of the Peter Mondavi Sr Family, who purchased the historic winery in 1943. Peter Mondavi Sr remains at the helm of the winery, with day-to-day operations handled by his two sons Marc and Peter Jr.
