Wine Style Guide

Light & Crisp

Light to medium bodied wines that are high in acid and light to medium fruit. Typically no oak.

Fruity & Smooth

Light to medium bodied wines with lots of juicy fruit, typically medium acid and medium oak.

Rich & Creamy

Full bodied wines that have typically undergone malo-lactic fermentation and/or spent time in oak.

Alcohol By Volume: 14.3%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Delightful buttered toast and oak aromas marry with tree and tropical fruit flavors, framed by a very light acid backbone. Brilliant yellow gold color. Enticing nose of butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, fig, mango, ginger and candied apple. Starts with sweet pineapple, apple, caramel, and vanilla flavors. The luscious, creamy-textured mid-palate is graced by a hint of cinnamon spice and leads to a refreshing, yet silky smooth, finish.

Pair with chicken, pasta, fish, seafood and shellfish dishes.

Learn About Chardonnais

Chardonnay has been called the "Queen Bee" of white grapes. With roots in the prestigious soils of Burgundy, this singular varietal has gained renowned status the world over.

Chardonnais is inspired by the rich history that Chardonnay posses as well as its great ability to transmit site. In Napa Valley, Chardonnay is able to achieve a level of ripeness that is uncommon elsewhere. Traditional winemaking is evident in Chardonnais, their nod to the Old World and sotried past of the world's finest white wine.

A votre sante! Cheers!

The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...
