Winemaker's Notes:

"Showing off a nicely ripe edge to its otherwise sleek fruit aromas of nectarine, white peach and varietal grasses and dry straw, this one is full and lightly fleshy in feel with a firming streak of youth- ful tightness providing both spine and balance for today as well as promising further rounding and richness as the wine ages. It needs but two or three years to see its best with dishes ranging from cracked crab to lobster newburg."

My Notes:

About Chalk Hill Winery:

Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards and Winery is family-owned and operated in the Chalk Hill sub-appellation of Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California. Since 1972, founders and proprietors Frederick and Peggy Furth have lived on the 1200-acre estate where each one of more than 80 vineyard parcels has been created up and down the hillsides and on the valley floors to grow naturally balanced vines. Winemaking consistently conveys the individuality of each site by using natural, traditional methods. The hallmark of all Chalk Hill wines is the land that sustains the vines and the winemaking that authenticates this incomparable terroir.
